    The wedding planner should never wear white, and should dress in the style of the wedding.  If I am planning a formal or semi-formal wedding in the evening, I wear a nice pair of dark pants or knee length dark shirt, with a pretty blouse. Never showing too much leg or skin. I like to blend in with the guests and not draw attention to myself, while still being comfortable.
    If it is a daytime or outdoor wedding, I wear a cream colored pant suit with colored tank underneath. I always like to incorporate the bride's colors into my outfit if I can. I have also worn a linen skirt with nice blouse to a casual outdoor wedding. Hope this helps!
