    Choosing a career option is not an easy one-step task. before opting for any career the candidate or student must take many things into consideration. As one decision you make today will have huge impact on your future and how it shapes.

    Requirement for any profession vary from a country to country like post graduates in mass communication or journalism might have great market value in third world countries but in USA and Europe are not in great demand. Therefore opting for a career have a direct to the country's economic conditions.

    Students  often do not realise that entry into many professions, including the above professions requires acceptance into a competitive professional program after completion of an undergraduate degree. Master’s or Ph.D. programs are more
    be academically focused, while professional programs such as dentistry or pharmacy or engineering emphasize specialized skills and qualifications for a specific profession.

    The most important factor before chosing any career option is what interest you more and what apptitude you have for a certain field. Your interest and liking for your major field will help you maintain a strong grade point average (GPA). Today corporate Organisations may be flexible on many things, but they are not flexible on grades.

    Secondly before making decision on career option one must take an overview of present careers in vogue and their future after 4 or 5 years when you will finish your master or bachelor programs. Set aside a folder for brochures and letters from  collleges and universities. Have a eleborate study of websites which presents overall view of different professions and the their absorbption in country's economy. also study positions vacant section of major newspapers it will give an insight of what sort of professionals major organisations or corporate sector looking for.

    Talk to different  professionals of different fields which interest you. People can often tell you a lot more than a website or glossy brochures. Their experiences and life style will tell you more about the affect of chosing that career.

    Once you know where you eventually want to be, you can chart a course to help you get there. After going through this drilling exercise, you need to compose and organise yourself and make a true and honest decision for your self.
