   i have both and i personally love both. none of the sims ps2 can have kids- alien or not. the pets can and thats what makes the pet one fun.  you can custom the pets anyway you like- with waky colors and designs. making wach puppy unique, you can sell them or keep them- what ever you like. in the sims 2 its all about relationships and money. which is alot of fun too. you can have s*x (or whoohoo) on there which u cannot on sims2 pets. it all depends but i told you what i know
