why do my freezer shelves fall down?

My freezer shelves are 1/2" too narrow.  When they are cold and contract they fall.

    Maybe they are to small

    You can fix them by purchasing wooden skewers (the kind for kebabs) and placing them on either side of each shelf--the are just wide enough to prevent the shelves from sliding enough to fall.
