    its not green light. plants cannot absorb green light, why do you think the leaves are green. The pigments in the leaves that absorb light are able to absorb every other color of light other than green.

    Here's something you should try... try extracting the chlorophyll from plant leaves and turn off the lights and shine a light through it. It emits a cool color, not red.

    Plants initially grow the best under green light, because it encourage germination. However, it grows best under red and blue light, because red light is for plant health, and blue light encourages leaf growth and blooming.
