Question:

1969 vw that was will not start

it was running fine, parked it went in house came out it would not start.  left it and never got back to parents to figure it out now 2 yrs later i need to sell and it will not even try to turn over and have no idea what to price it at.  it is now in fair to good condition.  need help getting it to start to be more sellable.

    Charge the battery, and then try by-passing the ballast resistor (usually mounted on the fan shroud). If it starts, replace the resistor. I've seen this happen more than once.
