why would my ASC and ABS lights be constantly on ?  I recently bought this car but there was no owner handbook.

    Hi,
    It is hard to diagnose the convertible top without seeing the statuses of the Hall sensors and switches. I would have this diagnosed at the dealer or a well versed BMW independent who has the same style equipment. You don't have to physically disconnect the motor you just have to turn the little T-handle on the pump counter-clockwise a little bit to open the bypass in the hydraulic circuit to move the top manually.

    Hallo,
    Deze lampjes lichten op bij een defecte ABS sensor, of, iets vervelender, bij een defecte ABS computer. Komt vaker voor bij de Z3, ik heb het zelf ook gehad. Gewoon even laten uitlezen bij de BMW dealer en je weet het... In geval van een defecte ABS sensor is de reparatie niet duur, een ABS computer kost wel veel (700 euro).
    Als je mazzel hebt is een van de ABS sensoren gewoon vies.
