    Actually, lubrication would be a bad idea. See, there is a common problem In 1997-2000 Suburbans about weak door locks. Basically, the parts of the lock, instead of holding when locked, slip which is why the door opens easily. Using lubrication would actually make your lock slip even more. Ask a certified mechanic. If you give me your area code, I would be more than happy to help you find a mechanic in your local area who could take a look, usually free of cost.
