The summers are here, swimming and beaches are the talk of town these days. I want to know about the swimwear trends of 2011, so I was thinking if someone can guide me with the trends of swimwear for the current year?

Choosing your swim suit is as simple as finding that perfect pair of jeans. In other words: it is not easy. While no one can wave a magic wand and make the fitting process easier, we can point out the hottest swimwear silhouettes and designs to help you find your place in the sun. If major swimsuit manufacturers have their way you'll be showing a little less skin this season. Don't worry beach divas, the bikini isn't extinct, but the one-piece continues its reign as the suit to be seen in. It's not all about modesty, as the trendy monokini silhouette bares almost as much as a skimpy two-piece and usually looks like a bikini from the back. The coverage varies – some sport modest cutouts at the side, while others look like your bikini bottom has sent up a single slender lifeline to your top. For those not quite so adventurous there's a wide variety of traditional one-piece styles to choose from. Halter, tank-straps and camisole necklines are all easy-wearing and flattering. Choose the newer one-shoulder style for a glam touch, or a bodacious bandeau if you love the strapless look. As with necklines, leg openings and booty coverage will vary–everything from super-high cut legs matched with thong backs, to modest cuts that cover the entire hip and bottom area. We love the vintage charm of a swimdress, and again there's a terrific range, from just the teeniest bit of ruffled edge to cover thigh tops, to draped bandeaus that resemble micro-mini dresses, to suits with figure-flattering a-line skirts that end mid-thigh.
