There are three ways in solving system of linear equations: graphing, substitution and elimination.

The three cases of systems of linear equations are: Consistent and independent (one unique solution), inconsistent (no solution) and dependent (all ordered pairs of the first equation are also ordered pairs of the other equation/s)

Linear equations could be in the form: standard form, slop-intercept form, two point form and point-slope form.

3 kinds of linear equations system in two variable:

    1. The lines may cross at ONE POINT. This point is usually called the solution of the system.

    2. The lines may be coincident (lie on on another). There infinitely many solutions to the system. Infact, any point that lies on the line a solution

    3. The lines may be PARALLEL. There are NO solutions to the system.

inconsistent which has no solution, the graph is parallel and the slopes are equal but the y-intercept are not.

independent/consistent which has 1 solution, the graph is intersecting and the slope and y-intercepts are not equal.

dependent which has more than 1 solution, the graph is coinciding and the slope and y-intercept are equal

    is that
    1)inconsistent
    2)independent
    3)dependent
    is that correct?

Consistent or Independent System - when lines are intersecting in a graph

Inconsistent- when lines are parallel in a graph

    Dependent- the same line--coinciding lines
