   The removal information can sometimes be found at the public library for no or low cost. Ours charge 10 cents per page for this information. It is Mitchell on demand, a quality repair information system that many shops use for their professional information source.
   
   If the transmission starts to slip while in gear, you most likely have a pressure or band/clutch problem. While quite a bit of diagnostics can be done with the tranny in the vehicle, it is usually very evident where the problem lies once it has been torn apart.
   
   Your choices are to rebuild or replace the tranny. I'd get a cost on both, but be sure to use a reliable rebuilder.
