I’m so confused. Links to my site as Alexa shows are 10, while I’ve too many backlinks. At first I thought that those links might have been removed, but I checked many of them manually and all those exist. Can anyone please help me with this issue.

The number of sites linking in that Alexa reports is the number of websites in Alexa’s crawl of the web that link to a given website. Here are a few explanations for cases where you know of links pointing to your site that Alexa does not list:    1. Alexa counts the number of sites linking in, and not the number of pages. (Only one link from a given site is counted.) 2. Alexa updates the number of sites linking in only once per quarter.  3. Alexa doesn’t count links from link farms or other similar search engine placement mechanisms, such as links that are obviously from link exchanges. 4. Alexa’s crawl of the web is focussed on pages that have measurable traffic.  If it can’t measure any traffic to a given web page, then they it is less likely to be crawled. In that case the links on that page will not be counted. If links are not used by our Alexa Toolbar users, they might be removed from the listings when Sites Linking In are updated. And yes, note that the Alexa Traffic Rank is in no way related to Sites Linking In.
