Andrew Flintoff becomes the most expensive player in IPL surpassing Dohni at the price of 1.55 million. Initial bidding for England's star all rounder Andrew Flintoff started at $950,000 but it did not stay there for long. Rajasthan Royals who last their top bowler sohail tanveer this year entered the bidding late for Flintoff, raising the bid to $1.5 million, but Chennai's bid of $ 1.55 million clinched Flintoff. Flintoff is now the most expensive player in the IPL.

Only other player who can surpass him is Kevin Peterson; who's auction is yet to take place.

wow 1.55 million is lots of money for just six weeks of playing. I think Andrew is much better than kevin anyways. This IPL thing has changed indian cricket forever. no team in the world can now mess with india as the players are making so much money, they will get the management to bend towards whatever india wants. which is why, after the mumbai attack the england team still went back to play.
