Whenever I switch on the television and log onto any of the several news channels, I come across a number of news that are showing something quite negative about teenager. Sometimes a teenager shown found guilty of committing a theft, and often rape and even murder. The incidents involving teenager are being depicted in such a terrible way that parents would become rather scared with their children nearing or have entered the teenage group. All what I see is sizzling by the news channels so as to compete effectively with one another. I would like to know if the teenagers are represented fairly enough by the media?

There have been a lot of complains from many adults who have protested that since ‘children are the future’ so they are not being portrayedby the media in the rightful manner. This is not quite right as whatever is shown by the media is correct, infact entirely correct in most cases. There are plenty of teenagers who are involved in more or less the same wrong doings as shown by the media. However, this does not mean that all of them do as there are also plenty who are intelligent and care about other people and the world around them. The reason such people are obviously not shown in the media because getting good marks in University is not what the media may be interested in, as they would rather accentuate a drunken fight or a rape.
