Types of yeast infections

I am a pre-medical student and have been given as assignment by the Biology teacher. In the assignment I have to write a detailed account on the type of yeast infections. I am quite well aware of the fungal infections and have an experience of acquiring one some time ago but yeast infection and their types is quite uncommon. I would appreciate if anyone could help me in finding about types of yeast infections.

    There are a few common types of yeast infections. The appearance of thrush in white patches inside the mouth is a part of yeast infections. Besides, Esophagitis is thrush that spreads down to the esophagus, the tube that takes food from the mouth to the stomach thus making it hard or painful to swallow. Now for the skin, yeast infection causes itching and rashes and if it can get into the bloodstream, may result in life-threatening diseases like HIV aids and cancer.
