    By all accounts it does like as if the Veronica Mars movie is going to get made. According to show creator Rob Thomas there has been a desire to make a movie from the short lived TV series for sometime. Thomas went to crowdfunding platfom Kickstarter to plead his case for some funding to get the movie into pre-production and beyond. After setting a funding goal of $2 million, the campaign has since raised an incredible $3.5 million and counting. 

   
   

   According to the Kickstarter page the movie should begin pre-production when the campaign ends (27 days) and be scheduled for release in early 2014.
