I have two kids, a boy just above a year old and a school going daughter aging 3 years. My kids love to bath in the swimming pool and I have to keep watching and monitoring them till they are done with it. It is always written on the pools that not to leave your kids unattended so I always make sure that I do not move from the spot for even a single minute. Sometimes I do have some other important things to do that it becomes difficult to keep monitoring my kids. I would like to know that at what age a parent should stop supervising bath time?

Generally it is advised NEVER leave your child alone in the swimming pool until he's 5, and just leave him for a short time until he's at least 7. The drowning incident can happen at any age but most children who drown in tubs are under age 5, as per the Consumer Products Safety Commission. Until and unless you are more than confident that your child is comfortable while swimming you may quit supervising. However, if your child has reached the age where he needs some privacy while bathing, do insist him or her to keep the bathroom door unlocked for any possible emergency.
