I am a huge fan of BMW two wheelers, heard BMW has made a sports bike able to compete in Moto GP, can I have an insight about the new BMW s1000rr.

     Manufactured by the BMW Motorrad, BMW s1000rr is the sports bike that is known to be "The best of the best" according to Robb Report and many other Bike magazines claimed the s1000rr to be the best bike. The s1000rr was manufactured to compete in the 2009 Superbike World Championship. The bike is now in production and is powered by a 999 cc (61.0 cu in) inline-4 engine redlined at 14,200 rpm.

    1000 production models were manufactured in 2009 to satisfy superbike needs, BMW expanded production for commercial sale of the bike in 2010. The s1000rr features a standard anti-lock braking system with optional electronic traction control. The s1000rr has an overall wet weight of 207.7 kg (458 lb), and produces 133.6 kW (179.2 hp) @ 13250 rpm at the rear wheel.
