   The Bali Kite Festival is an annual event held in the month of July, in the area of Padang Galak near Sanur Beach. The traditional kites flown during the Bali Kite Festival are almost 4 meters wide, and 10 meters long, and are flown competitively by teams from the villages of Denpasar. There is also a competition held for new creations, or kites of new shapes that are mostly 3-D figures of Hindu Gods.
