I have been doing bicep curls for days, but someone told me that adding mass to my triceps is the real trick to big arms. What is the best exercise for the triceps?

For triceps that are both stronger and bigger it is important to use a triceps related exercise that allows you to lift the most weight possible with good form. The absolute best exercise for this that focuses on the triceps more than any other move is the dip.
Dips are bodyweight exercises that require a workout station with parallel bars or one or two benches. Solid instructional videos on how to dip using both methods are included below. Ideally, a rep range between 8-10 or 5-8 with added weight will recruit all three heads of your triceps muscles, which make up roughtly 2/3 of your upper arm.

Doing other isolation exercises such as skullcrushers and cable rope pull downs will also help add strength and size to your triceps.
