Home canning maize is a large way to maintain maize without having to freeze it. Home canned maize will be more flavorful than any shop acquired canned nourishment due to its need of preservatives. Canned maize bought from shopping centers doesn't flavor the identical; neither does it have the consistency of new or home-canned corn. The maize can be arranged as either entire kernel maize or elite method corn. Since maize is reduced unpleasant nourishment, an exceptional force canner should be utilised throughout the canning process. Pressure canners are more costly than customary water bathing tub canners.
    • Husk the corn. Remove as numerous of the cords, often mentioned to as fine gist, from the maize before going on.
    • Cut the kernels off of the cob. Use a pointed blade and skid it down the ear roughly three-quarters of the way down the kernels. Alternately, slash the kernels halfway down and compress the juice extract out of the other half to make elite method corn.
    • Boil water in a large pot. Once the water comes to a revolving boil, fall the jars and top in the water to sterilize. The jars are sterile one time they are submerged in the water, but you can depart them for a minute or two if you prefer.
    • Fill jars with corn. Leave 1 inch of head space at the peak of the jars.
    • Fill the jars with boiling water. Leave 3/4-inch of head space at the peak of the jar.
    • Attach the tops to the jars securely.
    • Place the jars into the force canner. The method will take 55 minutes for pint-sized jars and 85 minutes for qt.-sized jars.
    • Allow the canner to cooling and depressurize.
    • Remove the jars and permit them to cool.
