Biodiesel! Why Isn't It More Widespread? - Lost in the very complicated mix of alternate forms of energy are the biofuels, fuels made from biological ingredients instead of fossil fuels. These starting ingredients can range from corn to soybeans to animal fat, depending on the type of fuel being made and the production method. It sounds great doesn't it? fuel make from plants, which can be grown.. then why isn't this becoming more common?

as long as your engine is a diesel engine there is no modification needed - However, running biodiesel does mean a few small changes to the way you maintain some of your less expensive engine components. They say its risky though. brings down the life of your engine.
