   Comparing Australia's position in the last three World Cups, the Australian team does not seem to be as strong as they were in the last two world cups. The 99 World Cup was very much even between Pakistan, Australia and South Africa, who lost their way at the very last moment in the semi final against the Aussies. The biggest problem the Australians have at present is their Captain's poor form who is struggling with a finger injury. Besides, without the likes of Glenn Mcgrath, Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden and the mighty Andrew Symonds it may not turn out to be a one sided World Cup like the last two played back in 2007 and 2003.
