Yes, you can copy web page icons in Windows 7 using internet explorer 8. Windows Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) is a web browser made by Microsoft in the Internet Explorer browser series. It was launched on March 19, 2009 for Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, and Windows 7. Both 64-bit and 32-bit builds are available in the market. Windows Internet Explorer 8 is the successor to Internet Explorer 7 which was released in 2006. It is the default browser for Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 operating systems except in Europe. Many new features were introduced in IE 8. Some of them are: Accelerator: Accelerators are a kind of selection-based search that allows its users to invoke an online service from any other page with the help of the mouse. According to Microsoft, Users do not need to copy and paste content between web pages by using Accelerators. Autocomplete changes: In beta addition, IE 8 has an address bar feature that highlights the domain for added security. It shows top-level domain in black whereas the other parts of the URL are in gray color. Websites or users cannot turn off domain highlighting. Automatic Tab crash recovery: If a add-on or website creates a tab to crash in Internet Explorer 8 the browser itself will remain stable without affecting other tabs. Developer tools: IE8 has many tools for developers that permit CSS, HTML and JavaScript debugging directly from the browser. Favorites Bar IE8 has a new redesigned Favorites Bar.
