Can you help me with my oven not staying lit?

I just moved into this apartment and my avanti elite oven/broiler ignites but when I release the oven temperature control k**b it will not stay lit. Can you assist?

    The thermocouple sensor is bust. It is sited right by the oven burner. Need a gas man to change it. It works the same as a pilot light thermocouple on a central heating boiler.
