The video chip inside of the laptop cannot decode the high quality 720P and 1080P video formats.

There is only one thing you can do before giving up.
Perhaps, by luck your computer dousnt have all of the codecs installed, VLC media player is renoun for solving these types of problems.

    http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Download by clicking on your type of operating system and install.
then try to play those files in VLC player!

If VLC player did not solve:

There is no way possible way to fix thins, unless you want to order a chip from China, Unsolder the old chip WITH a soldering IRON and resolder the new one on there.

then there is hacking the BIOS.... you get the idea.

Next time you buy a laptop, check 20 times here with the pro's, even if you dont get the newest latest and best possible gadget, we wont steer you wrong.

Here is a website where you can learn about the most important part inside of the computer (its not the CPU, its the GPU)

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Comparison- of-Graphic-Cards.130.0.html
Please spend 5 min looking at different graphics cards, a few in each category to get a good understanding of how important these components are and WHY they are so much more important now then 10 years ago.
