    Hi There,
This forum is only for federal tax questions regarding 501(c)(3) public charities as I have explained in my profile. I can inform you, however, that you can check your particular address with your local zoning office to find out what the present zoning designation is.  From that you can find out what the allowed uses are in that area and inquire particularly whether day care is an allowed use. You should also look at your present Certificate of Occupancy to see what uses your church is now authorized for. As for taxes, it appears that you are asking about real property taxes which are elements of state law. Some states give church exemptions based only on ownership, but some states require ownership and church use. By the way, if you are not sure how to proceed I can help you with the processing. However, I would need to spend a substantial amount of time and that would be beyond the scope of this free forum
