DVD player # VRVD7001

I have a portable DVD player#VRVD7001. The DVD player works fine with dvd's but when I plug my I-pod classic 80GB in I don't get a picture I only get sound. It says ipod loading then picture goes blank but I do get sound from the player with a blank picture.

    Apple decided to change the hardware on the ipods,so a lot of third party chargers, adapters will not work. You need a first gen ipod.
