   Education in New Zealand is compulsory and can be divided into 3 stages of schools. Those are Primary, Intermediate and Secondary .The Children of New Zealand begin their schooling at age 5 and remain in primary school until the end of Year 6. While years 7 and 8 of schooling is spent either in a separate intermediate school or part of a primary, secondary or composite/area school if you are in a rural location. In New Zealand secondary schooling is start from year 9 until the end of Year 13.
