   Gears of War 3 is a new upcoming third-person shooter video game, introduced by Epic Games.  The expected date of the release is September 20, 2011. Microsoft Games Studios is exclusively publishing for the Xbox 360. Gears of War 3 is the last series, and the final game in the current story arc.
   
   In Gears of War 3, three new competitive multiplayer modes will be included. You will also avail four different maps. In this series players will be allowed to unlock content in the beta that can be carried over into the full retail game.
   
   Many new moves in the game include the ability to change weapons with squadmates and knock over enemies while going over cover. There will be an option for Players to kick Lambent enemies away after they have been killed by the chainsaw or bayonet.
   
   Below is the list of challenges and items:
   
   - Beta Tester Medal: To unlock the Beta Tester medal you will need to complete one match in the beta which will carry over to your gamer profile in the final game. The Beta Tester title will also be featured in the "Gears 3" multiplayer lobby.

   
   

   - Thrashball Cole: Complete 50 matches in any game type to unlock the Thrashball Cole character variant in the beta. If unlocked, complete 10 matches as Thrashball Cole during the beta and the character of the game will carry over to your gamer profile in the final game.

   
   

   - Gold-Plated Retro Lancer: Show your ultimate "Gears of War" random by unlocking the Gold-Plated Retro Lancer. You will need to Complete 90 matches in any game type to unlock it. Score 100 kills will give you access to carry the exclusive weapon skin over to your gamer profile in the final game.
