Playing with Australia who posted a total of 260 runs on the board, India went on to smash Australian bowlers making them play in a ground that seemed to be full of mud all around rather than simply dew. Somehow they reached the world cup semi-final giving an impression that they have made their run chase against the most lethal bowling attack in the world. There was no way in the world that Indian favouring ICC would have liked India to stay out once Pakistan had reached the semi-final of the mega event. Everything was to be assured so as to push India into the semi-final. Its not that there was some unfair umpiring or the Aussies were hard done by in any aspect. Something which was to be noticed, the big dew factor which favoured India win. In the day night matches of the world cup 2011, while bowling second the fielding side had to wipe the ball with towels. Once the cricket ball goes wet, it does not offer any help to the bowling side whatsoever. Neither it swings for the fast bowler, nor does it turn for the spinner. The remarkable thing about the dew factor was that it was never there with India bowling second. The Indian fielders were never seen wiping the ball with towels when they had to do fielding under lights. But whenever India had to bat second, the whole ground seemed to be made up of mud instead of greenery, thus helping Indian batting.
