Was is clear from the Indian team's body language that they wanted to win against West Indies in their last group encounter?

yes India really wanted to win against westindies, but the problem is they have to face Australia in the quarter finals. The Quarter final match against australia would be the biggest match to win the title race in Cricket world cup 2011. If india wins against australia in quarter finals then it would be a great achivement for them

This is very rare to see that a team does not not want to win despite the fact that they were quite well placed. India putting a total of 268 runs, were sure to be the favorites to win the encounter but it seemed that they do not want to win. They never showed any excitement taking wickets or even after they won the game. On winning they were however ended up at the second position in their group just below South Africa but will be facing the mighty Aussies in the quarters before reaching the Semi finals which will not be a piece of cake for either of the two sides.
I do not think that any team would want to lose in a world cup and so it is obtuse to think if India wanted to win or not. If India had lost the match, their match would have been with Pakistan, which is also a nerve wrecking experience for both the countries. The Indian team also put their maximum effort to win that match and I think it was best that India won the match with West Indies, and now its quarter final match against Australia will be an interesting one.
