Melbourne International Airport is in compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act. The ticketing area, security, all gates and baggage claim are wheelchair accessible and located on a single level. There may be a slight incline in some areas, but no stairs are needed to access them.

Melbourne International Airport has a team of Passenger Service Agents, easily identifiable in red shirts, available before and after all scheduled flights to help disabled travelers with luggage, wheelchair and other needs. Passenger Service Agents are stationed throughout the Main Terminal and in front of the ticketing area. A TTY phone is available for hearing- and speech-impaired travelers and is located at the airport police office in the terminal.
