Do Nose Piercings Hurt ?

I have had two cartilage piercings up the top of my ear twice, how much will a nose piercing hurt ??

My mother and sister both have a nose piercing, as well as most of my mom's side and they say that it only hurt while getting it, like getting a shot, but afterwards it was fine. Nose piercing would be different from a cartilage piercing because the nose is fleshy, while the cartilage is, well, cartilage.
