When we talk about Day of the Dead, also called Dia de los Muertos in Spanish, is a day observed on November the first. It is an ancient Aztec ritual that has transformed throughout the ages to become a Hispanic/Catholic practice in which the celebrators honor their dead in different ways. Like it happens in most countries, in the U.S parades and festivals are held to honor the dead. Here are some of the instructions involving some drawings for the day of the dead. Day of the Dead artwork certainly does not aim to be scary infact it is just the opposite .This artwork is meant to celebrate the spirit and honor the memory of those who have passed. To celebrate the deceased is to accept that death is an inevitable part of life. Life and death are two sides of the same coin - life cannot exist without death, and vice versa. The Skulls, also known as Calaveras are everywhere in Day of the Dead celebrations being the ultimate symbol of mortality. To draw the skull, begin with an arc with coloring and cutting out several skulls. Now add features such as teeth and patterns in the skull as you like by attaching them together with glue or tape and hanging them up around your home or town as streamers.
