   On September 23, we commemorate the death of the great Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. And ActitudFEM due homage paid him, remembering his days and his poems.
   
   The Pablo Neruda Foundation wanted to share with us 2 pictures of Marcelo Montecino, taken the day of his funeral.
   
   So we want to tell you a little about what happened that day, how the poet died, and who sent him away, to let the photos accompanied by memories.
   
   The last public appearance of Neruda was the December 5, 1972, when he received a tribute at the National Stadium in Santiago, Chile. In February of the following year he resigned as ambassador to Chile in France.
   
   His health had deteriorated considerably, preventing him to continue in his diplomatic duties. He returned to live in Chile, Isla Negra, favorite house.
   
   Pablo Neruda was a communist militant, and political activist. Senator was in his country, and defended his ideals at all costs, so vehemently that he was exiled for " libel and slander against the president."
   
   A hidden reaches Paris, where his friends help him regulate his situaciÃ_ny return to the political scene, from an international trench. He was an advocate of peace, human rights, the common good. Repudiated the wars, racism and the oligarchy.
