Geographically, Boracay Island is located off the northwest corner of Panay Island, and belongs to the Western Visayas island-group, or Region VI, of the Philippines. Boracay Island is seven kilometers long. Boracay Island shape is like dog-bone shaped. The climate of Boracay Island is divided into two seasonal weathers known as the Amihan and Habagat Seasons. The Amihaon seasons temperature is moderate, no rainfall, and prevailing the wind from the east. The Habagat season is hot and humid wether, heavy rainfall, and prevailing wind from west. In Tagalog language, Amihon means a cool northeast wind and Habgat means west wind or southeast monsoon.
