Hi

On chilly Feb. 2, Groundhog Day, the famous rodent Punxsutawney Phil saw no shadow in front of his Pennsylvania audience, means winter lasts. But I want to know if he is really right, as across the country there is different news. And if he is right, how to confirm that he is right?

Thanks

    Hello

Well according to some old folklore, no shadow for what Phil means that there will be an early spring whereas had he seen his shadow, which ultimately predicts that it would have signified six more weeks of winter.

As the Groundhogs first made some prediction in the year 1887, world famous Phil has seen his suspicious shadow around 98 times and has not seen it 15 times. There are some missing years in the record, but Phil has issued a forecast without exception. Similarly, the National Climatic Data Center has also posted an analysis of the Groundhogs predictions and concluded that no predictive skill for the groundhog during the most recent years.

I must say, for those of who have been quite anxious to know more about this issue, can stop now, and although I urge that for a moment a lot of us think about what this says about. To be very clear, are that many calendars with inspirational daily messages a right or a privilege? Just make your mind clear and do believe in yourself rather than atrocity stories.

    Thanks
