Question:

Hilti TE60 will not hammer, only rotate

Cannot actuate the hammer part of this old Hilti tool, which until now has been very reliable.  Is there an easy solution, I'm not comfortable, after looking "inside" to proceed further without either schematics or instructions.

Thanks,

Hi, just finished taking mine apart due to same problem. First remove the hammer selecter switch on top, you will need a snap ring plier. This will allow you to see inside the machine. Turn on the power and see if the piston is moving. (probably is). Then it would be maybe the plunger/hammer stuck inside the barrel. If you need a picture of what you might be in for, let me know. I documented my taking apart of this machine. Very well built

Hello Derryck can i get your documentation, i am trying to take a TE74 apart with the same problem and i think i can learn how to disassemble it from a TE60 as well. I cannot get the shaft with the plunger/piston out of the body and i wonder if i really have to apply REAL force as it will be required if there is no other trick. Any help is welcome, thank you.
