This is from another brit; Seriously, no-one thinks Khan has anything like the abilities of Manny over here in Britain.
Amir khan at age of 22, after 22 pro fights, one of which was a humiliation is now going to be fighting again but is this fight fixed?
Some people applaud him for winning a world title at the age of 22, especially after doing it only 4 fights later and this might be a blessing in disguise he got knocked out in the first round. this was a good thing for Khan, as it made him go to America & train with a great coach & spar with people that you just cant get over here - effectively saving his career.
Here is the real take on pro Khan crowds, this just means that you have never been to a Khan fight, or probably seen one. I have & i can tell you that most brits do not like Khan (they don't view him as real brit; although he was born in the UK) & would love nothing more for him to fail (i have no clue why but most of my mates want him to get knocked out again). ok i guess here is the reason for this is that they hate cocky flash people, and as he has fought no-one of any real significance, he is their target. Why, i dont know, because atleast you Yanks have patriotism - something i wish us English had. Against Barrera, there were more Barrera fans than Khan fans and this time around its not only khan vs salita but some are taking it as muslims vs jews!
us Brits are waiting to see if amir khan can become a good fighter, let alone a hall of famer like Manny. Think we should have this conversation in another 20 fights time, when its more relevant.
And yes i am going to the fight Saturday and will be able to see for real just whether hes increased his power aswell as his punch resistance or was his trip to america simply waste of time.
In my opinion Amir khan will lose and most of his fans will agree which is why they will never post a reply or speak out.
