    When you're trying to find a financial planner, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) recommends that you:
    Deal only with licensed people or people who are representatives of licensees.
    Find some names through recommendations from:
    friends and colleagues
    your accountant or other professional providers you deal with
    the Financial Planning Association (FPA) referral service.
    Give yourself time to find someone you trust.
