How can I generate a sitemap of my website?

My friend asked me to generate a sitemap of my website as it is an important factor in search engine optimization, please help me with creating the sitemap to be indexed in google.

    If you are done and you want your website to be indexed as much as possible, upload it to Google Webmaster Tool. There are two ways to generate a sitemap.
    a. Downloadable Sitemap Generator
    Sitemap generation software is more difficult to use than an online tool but you have more command and power over the tool. Sitemap generation tool for Google is accessible from downloading websites. Just follow the installation processes on the manual and then configure the software if needed.
    b. Online Sitemap Generation Tool
    Online tools are much easier to use. You will be able to come across exactly what you're looking for.
