There are a few options available to travelers which include getting family or friends to forward the mail, pay Australia Post to redirect your mail, get your mail held by Australia Post until you return home or pay one of the companies out there to forward your mail.
There are positives and negatives to most of the options. You could be putting on family and friends especially if you receive a lot of mail and are they going to forward it on regularly enough basis that you get the bill in time to pay it. Australia Post redirection works if you are going to only one address but does not work if you are planning to move from place to place, this service also only allows you to redirect your mail to one address for the time you sign up for. Getting your mail held might stop the mail from piling up in your mailbox but won't help you pay your bills on time as they will be sat with Australia Post until you return.
