How did eddie fisher die?

I heard the song at my friends place and it touched my soul. I just love it. When I use Google, the song it was from early 90s. I just wanted to know how and when did Eddie fisher die, although I am not a big fan of this guy but tell me what the reason of his death was?

Eddie Fisher was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was the loving son of Russian-born Jewish immigrants Kate and Joseph Fisher. The world famous Eddie Fisher was well known for his television appearances and outstanding singing abilities. His peak era was 1950s when he was well acknowledged all over the world. The famous Eddie Fisher also married Elizabeth Taylor when she became the widow of Debbie Reynolds. It was a scandalous marriage, and further had four marriages and four children so far.

In the year 2010 he broke his hip and died in his home at Berkeley and made the whole world sad. His aches were burnt down along with the grave of his wife. His legendary performances are still in my mind as I have listen and watched his great performances. I have not seen such a legendary artist in my whole life. And I must say no one can ever be like him till the end of this world.
