In 2008 27,462 of the most highly qualified high school seniors in the world applied to Harvard University.  Of these students, 2,500 of them scored a perfect 800 on the SAT critical reading test and 3,300 were ranked first in their high school class. How many did Harvard accept?  About 1,600, which is to say they rejected 93 out of every 100 applicants.  How does Harvard know one student is Harvard material while another isn’t; when both have identical and perfect academic records.  I’m sure if you have a perfect academic record I can get you in at university of Ottawa, trust me I can.

This is funny, so the perfect guys who thought they were all that were rejected by the Harvard university. Serves them right; that’s what happens when you feel you are above others.  i bet some of these guys apply just so they can see if the get in or not.

Good thing i did not apply for Harvard University but is the perfect score the only thing that gets the new student admitted or “who you know matters”.  I'm sure if i am on the board and my grandson wants to attend; Harvard would make exceptions. i'm guessing the enrolment is not transparent process.
