The largest aircraft flying out of Karachi is the commercial plane Boeing - 747 of Pakistan International airlines which have 420 seats. In 1979, PIA paid for their first Boeing 747-200BM aircraft. In 1999, PIA hired five Boeing 747–300 aircraft from Cathay Pacific to depose its aging Boeing 747-200M fleet. In July 2002, PIA bought six Boeing 747-300 aircraft from Cathay Pacific, five of which were already on hire with PIA. Currently PIA is operating with 5 Boeing 747 planes in its fleet. The Boeing 747 is a massive body commercial airliner and cargo carrying and mostly referred by the nickname Jumbo Jet or Queen of the Skies. It is among the world's bulk recognizable aircraft, and was the first wide body ever produced. The original publication of the 747 was couple and a half times the elevation of the Boeing 707. The four-engine 747 engages a double deck configuration for component of its length. It is available in passenger, freighter and other versions. Boeing arranged the 747's hump-like upper deck to serve as a first group lounge or (as is the complete administer today) extra armchair, and to sanction the aircraft to be basically transformed to a cargo carrier by extracting seats and installing a front cargo door.
