Most of the diseases also happen to have certain types and sub-types. Since Asthma is one of the most common diseases found in people so for the sake of increasing my knowledge I would know that whether or not there are any types of Asthma.

There are about 5 different types of Asthma in general. It is good to know and learn about the types of Asthma so that proper care could be taken along with effective treatment.
Allergic Asthma. This type of Asthma is caused due to allergy usually from dust or from a certain type of a smell. This is indicated by coughing, wheezing and a lot of sneezing.
Exercise inducted Asthma. When you are doing some kind of an activity that involves exertion, this type of Asthma is likely to occur.
Cough Variant Asthma. IF you have frequent coughs in a way that breathing becomes difficult and quite painful then you are possibly a victim of cough variant asthma.
Work-related Asthma. Sometimes you get to have cough, sneezing and difficult breathing caused because of your work place and this is called work-related Asthma.
Nighttime or Nocturnal Asthma. In cold weather, it becomes difficult to sleep at night with breathing problem caused by this type of Asthma.
