One of my children has become a victim of Asthma. I have not yet consulted a doctor for treatment as I am away from home in some other city. However, just for the sake of my knowledge I would like to know about the type of Asthma inhalers I can buy for my child.

When it comes to treatment for Asthma, there are generally two types of inhalers, metered dose inhalers (MDIs) and dry powder inhalers (DPIs). Both these inhalers have several advantages and disadvantages. Besides there is one more known as Nebulizer, and it is actually meant for providing relieve against Asthma or severe congestion. It is also worth-mentioning here that some of the inhalers act as preventers against Asthma while some act as relievers. Given below are few names of Asthma inhalers so you may choose the one recommended to you by the doctor or the one that suits best your requirement.
