Here are some important steps for managing depression without medication.

    • Sleep and feeling are closely related to depression. Keep a regular life routine and get sufficient rest.

    • Prevent caffeine and other stimulants from your life.

    • If you cannot eat well, you have to use multi-vitamins frequently. Numerous vitamin and mineral deficiencies can cause depression symptoms.

    • Keep in touch with your spiritual aspect through prayers or contemplation. Always keep this in your mind that spirituality is not the identical thing as religiosity. You may be religious without ever going in church, synagogue or mosque.

    • Try to do sufficient exercise; this doesn't signify you have to start up a vigorous every day workout. Even a walk in a ground can be a good source of energy.

    • Stay away from the excessive intake of alcohol. Alcohol is sedative and harmful to your body as well.

    • Try to eat a sensible and healthy diet.

    • Your thoughts have a direct impact on your attitude. You have to avoid the negative thoughts that bring you down.

    • Stress can be prevented physically by learning to overcome your stress levels through time management, meditation, biofeedback training, etc.

    • Combat feelings of loneliness by reaching out to others who are less fortunate.
