   We are pleased if we are able to offer you a last-minute mileage upgrade to the next highest service class when you check in at the airport. Provided that there are still seats available in the desired class on the relevant flight, you have the option of using an appropriate ad hoc upgrade. The necessary number of miles will be debited automatically from your Miles & More account.
   In order to protect your mileage account from unauthorised access by third parties, when you request an upgrade at check-in you will be asked for two randomly selected digits from your PIN. So if you would like to make use of a last-minute mileage upgrade, please have your PIN to hand when you check in.
